(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This Spring we got three Production red chicks. In our search for a coop, we found a great deal on an amazing insulated coop. Catch was it came with two silkies and Polish/Tophat. We fell in love quickly.
I love watching them pecking around and talking to them.

The chickens have becone a family affair. The kids help immensely (8 and 11) and the husband has decked out the coop and run, including web cams. We enjoy the fresh eggs and passing on the surplus to friends.

BYC has been an amazing resourced from the start. What a great community. Finally joined when I wasn't able to find my answer in a forum or article. Less than 3 hours later we had a great response!
