1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No chickens yet, but have raised quail for awhile.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 0, planning a small flock of 10

(3) What breeds do you have? None but I’m thinking Cream Legbars and Easter eggers

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Eggs!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I’m an avid baker and gardener.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’m a happily Married mom of 2 adult children. I’m an RN who works remotely. We have 2 cats, 3 dogs, a bearded dragon, and Celadon Courtnix Quail.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D I found out from a chicken lady here in NY, earlier today.

Thanks for having me! I’m looking for someone that breeds the Cream Legbars, preferably within driving distance of NY. (I like to drive)

We've got Baking and Gardening threads you might like to check out. Otherwise, as you consider getting chickens, do you have a coop? If not, here's a bunch of them in our Coop Forum that our members built. Our Learning Center also has tons of articles about raising chicks and chickens, and quail for that matter.

I usually turn to my poultry groups on Facebook when I'm looking to buy or sell.
