Hello and welcome to BYC! Good luck starting your flock. I'm not sure how many you need. I just started my flock and my girls are not laying yet.

from Ohio. So glad you joined. Build your coop as large as you can afford. Also EE's are a medium egg size layer so you might want to add a few large size egg layers to your flock.

Suggestions on which kid-friendly Large Egg Layers to get a few of? I read the RIR's and Australorps are good, but opinions are always better.
