Hatching
Hello, I have been tossing around the idea of raising chickens for some time now but dh has always been against it " until we had our own land " but for some reason he all of a sudden gave in and we grabbed the last three chicks at the store!!!. This was an impressive turn around for him since we live in an rv and still don't own our own land. But like it or not we are the proud parents of three little golden sex link chicks. I'm not sure how old they are but my kids already love them. My 6 year old son, who loves frozen, named two Anna and Elsa but we haven't decided on a name for the third yet (originally we were only going to get two but i was not leaving one baby chick in the store all by herself).
I really am a little out of my element here since i don't know a huge amount about chickens but i have been reading up. I only had three chicks for 7 hours and already I am wishing we owned our own land so I can expand our little flock. Nice meeting you all!!

) Golden Sex Link is one of many labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links, which are produced by crossing a red gene rooster with a silver gene hen. Not only can the offspring be sexed by color at hatching, but they are egg laying machines, outlaying either parent breed. It's one of the interesting quirks of hybridization. You should get loads of eggs from those 3 girls. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Golden Sex Link chicks.
