Hello from the snowy cold tundra known as the Midwest!

The reason why I joined this forum is because I've been wanting chickens for a longgggg time and I might have the opportunity to get some this spring! I am very hopeful and excited so I thought I may as well join this forum to learn even more about them! You can never do enough research, am I right?

You're right, there's always something new to learn and the more you know ahead of time, the easier it will be to raise chickens.

Make yourself at home here and always feel free to ask questions!

Welcome!

As you have already received some links to some great starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
