Just wanted to pop in and take a minute to introduce myself!
My name is Abby, I live in southwest Michigan. This is really my first experience with chickens, growing up on a turkey farm never allowed us much of a chance at chickens. So being confident in my poultry raising abilities I decided this spring to purchase my first chicks and start our own little backyard flock. How surprised I was when I started to realize how little I did know about chickens! So after doing about 50 google searches that always brought me back to this website and these wonderful community forums I decided to jump in on the fun myself.
I am a married stay at home mom of two kids (the light of my life!), two giant dogs, and now 8 adorable chicks (1 silverlaced wyandotte, 1 gold laced wyandotte, 1 isa brown, 2 barred rocks, and 3 easter eggers.) Next project... coop building! Can't wait! Looking forward to being a part of this awesome community. Thanks for reading!
