New from Wisconsin

It's surprising how well most chickens get through Midwest winters. I still worry about mine every single year -- and I'm sure all they're worried about is how soon I will come out with their feed and fresh water.

LOVE the photo of yours standing in the shoveled path!

Welcome to BYC, William! It's good to meet you.

My name is William and I’m from a small town in Wisconsin. This is our second year raising chickens. We have ISA Browns, a couple of Dominques, and just added Easter Eggers to the little flock this year. First winter was nerve racking worrying about how they were doing in the cold. But between the deep litter method and letting them do what they do, they did fine this winter...despite their fear of the snow.
Hi William fellow Wisconsinite here! I'm near Stevens point. My hens love venturing out in the snow and survived our double negative temps just fine this winter as well!
