Well welcome to the chicken board Elsa,
You will love it here everyone is awesome, and willingly shares their experiences, and errors..LOL sometimes even quite funny antidotes.
The place is huge and has some great articles, helpful hints, and tons of great stuff......... I do believe if you have questions on almost anything someone will be there to answer it, we maybe a chicken forum, but I have seen lots more helpful stuff not even chicken related. Plus we have sister sites I thin they call em that are great too, like sufficient self, the links for those are at the bottom of the page.

Hi, I am from you same area! We had chickens and then moved so now we need to get more this spring. Also, I am looking at Faverolles for the same reasons you are. I found 2 breeders South of Madison. 1 breeds bantam Favs and the other breeds regular size Favs. It is kind of a hike for me, but I am really excited. Maybe we could work something out. Also, I have found a breeder of Americanas here in Mukwonago so I am planning a mixed flock of Americanas and Favs.

Thanks for the info! This is definitely helpful if we cant find the breeds we want. My boyfriend was recently told about Chick days at the Tractor Supply Store. This starts in March so we are going to see what they have available. Plus another friend told us about a chicken swap at a local fairgrounds. I think between these two places will be a good place to start.
