I raise Coturnix quail.
What type of quail are you starting with?

I also want coturnix but looks like the state laws require permits, an inspection and annual reports. And that’s just for a few hens to make eggs for our use. I am finishing the coop but may scrap it and do chickens even though I really wanted quail. Talked to three people at the DNR and couldn’t get a straight answer only transferred to someone else. Will call back the number four referral tomorrow before pulling the plug but it looks like my plans may be circling the drain.
