I think we need NEW PICS from everyone who got their chickens throughout this thread. My little ones are 1 week old today, so they get a birthday photo shoot tonight to show the difference. Going to be pretty amazing. I can't believe how quickly they are growing, and it's wayyy more obvious now who the two banties are!! Though, our little golden campine (Gwen) is almost their size.

OH and did I mention...I'm getting 2 more chickies this weekend!! 2 Welsummer chicks from a lady in CT! Can't wait. AND possibly I'll finally get my white silkies (the 2 I ordered were trampled in shipment and DOA) - a local guy breeds them and has another set hatching this weekend! Last time he hatched some, only 3 made it, but he thinks this hatch will go much better, so I might be a new momma to 4 new chickies by the end of the weekend! wahoo!!

So...I won't be able to post pics until later tonight/tomorrow after our photo shoot - but does anyone have any updated pics??

I am loving reading all these posts...I am a newby to BYC and to raising chickens. I thought I was off my rocker a bit because I was getting so excited about my chickens and now about my 3 peeps that we hatched here at home and the 25 coming soon. So glad to see that you all love your chicks too.

My little runt finally passed. She was 14 days old and still the size of a newborn. Sad to watch, but I was neglecting and not enjoying the 24 big ones that did make it. Now I can enjoy all the chicks !
