I moved mine into a larger brooder yesterday. 106 chickes in a pick-up truck bed-liner. I made a "tent" out of flat bedsheets over it with old aluminum tent poles for support, then hung up 3 heat lamps at various heights. I put in wood shavings and some stick roosts. They Love it. Started flying and jumping everywhere! They are 2 weeks old now. They have wing feathers, saddle feathers and the cutest little tails starting.
Whenever I go into the garage where the brooder is, I whistle and call "Here chickie choodles!" I am hoping they get used to that signal and learn to come to me when they are older and out ranging in the pasture.
