New fuzzy butts coming!!

It's funny how new babies make us this way!! I think it's gonna be worse when they do get here, why you ask? Because those babies are gonna need ALOT of attention!!! hehehehehe

I have 26 new chicks coming from McMurray on Feb 7 also. It will make me a first time chick mother!

Oh wonachick, welcome to the "learning patience" club.

Club membership requirements include...spending days on end lurking on BYC, neglecting normal household activities in favor of "testing" the brooder, scanning and rescanning the hatchery website just to see what you've ordered, praying, no begging God to give you warm clear weather on delivery day .... and the list goes on.

I just placed my order with McMurray yesterday too! My first time ordering with them. The little ones should be here Feb 7th!!!

I ordered

6 Araucanas
5 light brahmas
5 turkens
5 buff orpingtons
4 partridge cochins

And my 1 rare breed! I hope they make it home ok in this cold weather! we have a nice brooder set up in the living room for them. This will be my first time with itty bitty babies chicks.
This is going to be my 2nd year with chickens. Last year we got a few that were 5-8 weeks old.

The only babies we dealt with were 100 pheasant chicks we ordered last summer.

I cannot wait!
