I go in to the chickie room twice a day and let them out so they can run around and play. I will lay down on the carpet and they will try to jump up on me, it just melts my heart!
Here is another pic of them!!

Tami - what cute little ones!! I know they're going to be special in your heart even when you get the new arrivals. When are they supposed to come again? Can't wait to hear all about it. Really getting geared up for ours next week. Ugh this week is going by way too slowly.

What breeds are they again? names?

My replacements are supposed to be shipped this Saturday and I should get a call Sunday when they arrive. I will most defiantly let everyone know how it goes!

I am hoping for a safe delivery of all out birds!! Hang in there, I know it's hard to wait!
I think the 2 smaller ones are Red frizzle Cochins and the odd ball one is an EE. The EE is "chance" and the other 2 are "eggs" and "fuzzy butt"

Cute names.

My daughter is 4 1/2, and named the big one Light Bulb. One of the others she is calling Flutter Corn, and another Dinner. These won't make the dinner plate, though...they're 4ish lbs all grown. We got them for eggs, but now I've seen Seramas and want some of those, too.

My carrier called as I was walking out the door at 8:30 and said she was taking over the chicken operation and bringing them up to me!!! They were on my porch and cute as can be! TWENTY SIX of them! So I have all these extra males. Whatever will I do with them???? Can I raise them together? I think that is too many boys huh? Advice! My hubby will want to eat them....sad face. Here they are! And what a racket they make too....I was only planning on 15 and now think this box wont last a week with 26 birds. I will have to figure out a way to close up the coop and put them locked in there I guess...with heat lamp of course. Again...advice please! Im thinking I can enclose an area under the nest boxes 2 x 7 feet with an opening on one end and have the heat lamp in there...they can come and go into the larger section of the coop as they please and run back in when cold. I will put shutters on windows so no wind or rain.
