We lost another one sometime during the night. She was the runt.

We're watching my sister's sweet little dog while they're at Disneyland, so he's going to get lots of snuggles this weekend. So many little lives lost in a week is no fun.

I just called McMurry to let them know our low on the pick up day changed to 18 degrees for the low and I wanted to make sure the were adding males for heat and the lady put me on hold and then came back and said they will add a heat pack. She said it is an option and costs more they I asked her how much and she said nothing for me because of the cicustance of it being a re order. This puts my mind at ease. If anyone else has a re ship or just wants to pay to have the heat pack to be safe, call them I would have done ths on the first ship if I knew they would but I asked and they told me they didnt do it.

I just called Mcmurray. I checked the weather after I read your posts, it is supposed to be -7 for a low and 12 for a high!!! They said they add an extra cardboard ring and cover up some of the holes to keep more heat in during the winter months. And they also said, "They should not be outside other than switching trucks" then says... "unless someone is careless". They said that they should be fine, but she will put a note on the order to add a heat pack if possible.

Also, she told me she had no idea if they were flown into WI. She says they either go to Des Moines or Minneapolis, and that is all she knows. Well Minneapolis is about an hour and a hlaf away from me, so I hope they get sent there and come stright up to my PO.

I just got an email saying my order was updated, but There is nothing that has changed..... I dont get it. Did they ship a day early? Will I get them tomorrow? Did she add the note for the heat pack that I cant see?

FYI...the first time I called them this morning I asked If they were going to be shipping my chicks out today and the lady told me it's possible they will ship tonight!!

Everyone keep a look out for your chicks from tomorrow on!! I am so on top of things here, I know i'm driving that darn hatchery nuts!!! Not to mention the Airport!! So nervous.

I want fuzzies that are alive and well!! PERIOD!!!
