I just sent an email and will call Monday morning unless I hear back before then. I hate that they aren't open weekends!! Grr!!

OMG, I just checked McMurray website and I saw a tracking number next to my order. My heart almost stopped, jumped up and ran and told my husband to expect a call. Upon further inspection, I found McMurray had only issued the number and they had not officially shipped yet, but surely it will be today. I am in California, so I bet they won't arrive til Monday- if they arrive on Sunday, the distribution center will be 2 hours away, but I will go and get them. Again, thanks everyone for all the info in dealing with shipping of baby chicks.

You all will have peeps soon! It is so exciting! Mine arrived a week ago today from McMurray. They are getting thier wing feathers and are learning to sit on a roost. It is so funny, they get on the roost, then fall asleep and fall off.

The roost is only 3" high, so no injuries.

Wona - Since you're in CA, they should be there tomorrow, but who knows if the center will call on a Sunday. Crossing my fingers for a safe shipment for your chickies!

Btw, the little Barred Rocks I got are from Belt Hatchery in the Fresno area. They look great, and I feel even better after my husband told me the feed store had their vet come to inspect the shipment and care for any that were weak while he was there.

I have gone to the PO and called them today- they are alert for my chicks and will call as soon as they come in, even on a Sunday. I even offered to pick them up at the distribution center, but doubt that will happen. I hope they come on Sunday, will keep you all posted.

I got a call from the Airport PO this evening at 8pm....they're here!!!

Flew over there and picked them up right away!! Not 1 DOA and everyone looks and is acting GREAT!!!!
Will post pics tomorrow!!! I am so happy!!

My tracking number shows that my order was shipped last night. Says they got to the st paul airport at 1:23am. I wish I would have known which airport they were flying into. I could have picked them up there when I was in the Minneapolis area this afternoon! Now it says delivery date the 7th!!!!!

That means they are gonna sit someplace until MONDAY unless the distribution center calls me tomorrow. UGH..........

God, I hope they make it.
