New geese parents

Are you keeping it indoors? Is that why you want to wear a diaper if you keep it outside and it poops outside the rain will melt it away or you can hose it down. It will dissolve and fertilize your lawn.
What breed of goose is it? Can you share a picture? I wonder how old it is ? If you give it a tub or small pool of water or to swim in, it will clean itself and it should never smell bad . They are very good at cleaning themselves, but if it’s still a tiny baby, you can’t leave it in water very long . In fact, if it’s a tiny baby, it needs to be in a warm temperature depending on how many weeks old it is and where you liveWelcome to BYC.
Actually the woman who brought the animal to us said it was a gosling but after looking at it's coloring it made me wonder Iif it was a duck? Yeah my husband and I plan to keep it inside- at least right now (hence the diaper). Having been behind a guy in line at the store who hada bird on a lease that sat on his shohlder...I thought it was so cool I had to say something and after I did he moved up the long line one person away from paying and being able to leave the small, overcrowded place when the bird defeated on the guys shoulder where he sat....all over the plain spanking spotless white shirt....it was the best set up for a comical bit however I'm no comedian to write it...I just knew it was there. Suffice to say I don't like poop and Def. Not bird poop....all the diseases things that fly can carry. Anyway, I have included a photo of our little guy....do you have a y knowledge of what he would grow up to be...duck or goose.or other even? It really makes no difference what this little one turns out to be in the scheme of things however we'd want to know to be able to properly care for this little one. Thanks

He does not look very well at all. The grass is way too long for him to be nibbling on, and he could choke if it gets stuck. Offer him some plain scrambled egg so he at least gets something slightly nutritious in him, or he'll starve. Also, does he have a heart source to stay warm? They need to have a place to be at least 90F so they don't become too chilled.

Also, it is illegal to keep migratory birds as pets. Depending on the species, it would be best if you found a wildlife rehab to take him in and properly raise him to be released back into the wild. If you've really enjoyed keeping ducks/geese, do some research and then get some domestic types to keep as pets.
