SOOOOOOO cute!!! I will definitely keep that in mind. I hear they are smart like dogs!OMG!! Congratulations!! Oh I just want to kiss their fuzzy little cheeks!! Not much knowledge or advice from me as I am a first time goose owner as well, other than they will steal your heart quickly!! Mine loves treats...mealworms, cucumbers, anything veggie really. Spend a lot of time with them and they will be comfortable with you. Also, if you can sort of socialize them, like with dogs, have neighbors and family to visit and feed treats.View attachment 1851401 View attachment 1851402
Thank you! I am so glad they are a boy and a girl! That will be so much fun when they have babies! Here is a picture that my friend sent me of her geese. She said the parents are in there somewhere!Nice goslings! The lavender gosling is a male and the brown is a female.
The lavender looks like a cross.
The beautiful colour indicates that the the parents were not the same colour (white male and brown female).
My guess would be Toulouse and Embden mix
Either way they're beautiful
Thank you!! What cuties!! What are your birds favourite treats? I am trying to socialise the geese and the ducklings together and really want them to be friendly but wondering if it’s even possible with my little ducklings, haha! I think my guineas are more friendly than my ducks and I want to make sure that the geese won’t end up like my ducks! So very cute.My foursome are Toulouse. They will be seven weeks old tomorrow. I agree with everyone, treats to get them use to you and socialize as much as you can. Mind did great at a family bbq of 20+ people. Just stood off to the side and watched/grazed. They are learning “no bites” still but are getting better at it. They will stand there vibrating their necks trying to resist the urge to nibble. But they are learning. Congratulations.
