Hi everyone my name is samantha and i love chickens. They just make me happy, they always have. Im 43 and finally in a place where i can have chickens again. Free range of coarse, till bedtime. Its been about 3 years since i have been able to have a flock. Now i am staying on an old farm where there are no chickens. It just doesnt seem right. There is even feed here but no birds to peck at it. I live in Louisburg kansas and am awaiting my disability hearing so i have no income and no money but i have this great place to call home( thanks to a very kind husband and wife) if anyone around my areaIis needing to reduce thier flock or just wants to get rid of some birds i would love to give them a new home.

Hello Samantha and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. Please make yourself at home.

This is a useful link of “How to” BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3. I’d suggest including your location using the guide in the link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes

Congrats on finding a nice farm! If you do get some chickens I would not feed them what is already there... it could be very old and lack any nutritional value, not to mention possible mold or rodent infestation. Better to keep your birds safe and buy fresh feed, anything older than a few months needs to be tossed.

Yes, posting your general location in your "personal details" page would be very helpful. Good luck finding your own flock!

Hello, and welcome! Glad that you joined. That feed that is there should be tossed and new feed bought when you get any chicken's. You could ask if anyone has some chicken's that they would be willing to part with over in your Kansas state thread.
