New goat!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by fodder. Goats are ruminants. They need hay, grass and browse, which is twigs and woody plants like raspberry brambles. Goats are highly sensitive to moldy feeds, so things like silage should never be fed.
Fodder is sprouted seeds. My chickens love it especially in the winter when grass and other greens are hard for them to find, and I heard that goats tend to love it as well. It can be sprouted wheat, barley, or sunflower seeds. It apparently makes nutrients more accessible for digestion, and give you more bang for your buck.
It’s also pretty easy and cheap to grow.

Here’s a few new pictures I got of little Gandalf. He has grown quite a bit, and he is a WILD little guy:p:wee
He is so sweet though, and loves people.

I would be careful feeding that kind of stuff to goats. They need hay. Grain can kill a goat. Unless you are feeding pregnant or milking does they don't need a rich diet.

Ok. Thank you! That makes sense.

Apologies for all the questions, and I possibly could have asked this and not seen the rely :)oops:) but is alfalfa ok to feed them? I read somewhere that the males can’t eat too much alfalfa, and now I can’t seem to find any info on the subject. Like is it ok to feed them alfalfa and alfalfa pellets?

Another member @cassie has fed alfalfa. I personally prefer a good grass hay especially for males. It can depend on what you can find. I personally wouldn't feed alfalfa pellets. Goats are ruminants. They need long stemmed roughage to keep their digestive tract working well.
