Hi,
I've had chickens for 3 years now, and for the past 3 years I've been scouring the BYC forum threads for the great advice you all share. Up until now though, I've never felt the need to post anything, but today I needed to ask some advice about my new baby gosling. If you're interested, I've posted a question about him in the geese forum.
I currently have 21 hens (Black Australorp, Barred Rock, and my one New Hampshire Red named Lucy), 1 rooster (Black Australorp named Cornelius), 48 pullet chicks, 2 chinese geese (Abigail and Waldo), two cats, one Chesapeake Bay Retriever, six ducks (2 mallard, 1 runner, 3 pekin), and my little baby chinese goose Cadbury, who just hatched on Tuesday.
I sell eggs, veggies, and bread at our local farmer's market, and work full time in town too.
I'm looking forward to when I can retire and devote more time to the garden / animals / market.
