New gosling pics!! white romans

Hi Bill,
have you had geese before? These are the sweetest things I have EVER had, and I have had lots of animals, but be prepared to be their 'mother' they will follow you everywhere and get very upset if they can't see you. I am starting to get a little frustrated cause I can't go or do anything unless they go with.... ;-), no I'm not complaining, Keep in touch, I'd love to hear how it proceeds. jennifer

so, my goslings are a little over a week old and she is biting my fingers alot, does that mean anything? this just started, yesterday they both did, should it tap them on the head or something to discourage or are they trying to tell me something. Also I have them on chicken starter but worried about some posts that talk about niacin dificiency, they free range some and I give them chopped spinich and will give them some boiled egg today. should I do more like brewers yeast? jennifer

geese will chew/bite anything. I give mine a mix of a duck crumble 22% and a duck goose pellet 16% (mix 50/50) and all of the green grass I can pull them while they are in the horse stall growing till I can put them out. Have not had any problems. Owe LOTS of water.

Thank you, like I was telling Joni, I worry too much, but I do love these little people... so does my daughter. They are funny cause when we all 4 are around them, they seem soo happy, and don't loose it when I walk off, but if there is just one of us, they totally let us know they are upset. Also, I love it when I see them after a while of them being in the coup, they run over with their necks straight out, talking the whole time, just trying to get to 'mamma'. Such happiness they bring. I was reading that post, did you see, where the gosling was in the mouth of the snake, and then got knocked out of it's mouth alive and all slimmy. That snake would have been toast at my farm also. ;-) jennifer
