I picked up two "assorted" goslings from the feedstore today to add to my flock. My question is any idea what breed they are? not sure what hatchery they came from either. Any ideas?

Hi! I believe the darker gosling is most likely a Pomeranian saddleback, as their back and head are usually dark grey when younger. Whereas I can't pinpoint the lighter gosling, I can tell you that they will most likely grow to be white, and might be a Roman or an Embden.

They are growing fast! I believe you are right about the one being a Pomeranian as it's getting both grey and white feathers on it. The lighter one ended up being a buff.

They have grown so much! Pretty sure I have a buff (belle) and a pilgrim (Daphne). Installed a new pond today for them and the other ducks and geese.

I love your pond how are you going to keep it clean? Oh your gosling's are so cute.

I teach Agriculture at the high school level and it's part of our poultry program. The students take turns cleaning out the pond every other day.
