New guy from NE Washington.xt

Hello, I told myself I would get on here and post my coop pics while I was building it, well that was last year but better late than never. This site has been so awesome for ideas and information for first timers. I'm excited to share what we have learned and Add to this great collection of knowledge.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

-We have had our chickens for almost 1 year now.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

- 9 Hens currently.

(3) What breeds do you have?

- 2- Austrolorps 1- Red Star 2- Ameraucanas 2- Silkies 2- white crested Bantams

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Saw a coop I really liked on Pinterest and it linked me to this awesome website.

You can still setup a coop page!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens!
:welcome

It would be fun to see your coop build if you care to share it. There's even a contest going on right now showcasing coop builds. If you're interested, here's a link to take you to the contest:

Thanks for joining us!

Thanks I have never been on a forum I did post my coop over in the design thread. Is that the right place to do it? Thanks for the help!

You did a beautiful job on your coop and nicely documented too! Leave your write up where you have it...but also...To enter the contest, see the steps explained on the first post of the contest:#1 (just click on that blue #1 link and read "To Enter Contest").

Best of luck!

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. Very nice coop! Thanks for sharing in that thread. I'm sure others will benefit from it. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me :old will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!

G’Day from down under Parks2peaks :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
