New Hampshire Breed Thread

I ordered my reds from cackle hatchery at 2 days old. I always get beautiful chicks from them cackle hatchery is in Lebanon, Mo.

Thanks for the info. I'll be checking them out as soon as we can place our orders. :)

Well I got 8 total (7 pullets, 1 cockerel) from a farm in VA. They have been skiddish since being with us, but we are working on that. But unfortunately lost one to a raccoon or opossum. Then just last week we lost 2 to what we came to find out was a hawk doing it.

I don't have any pictures of them currently but they are almost 3 months old and the same size if not bigger than our 4 month old leghorn and can't wait for them to start laying. All of them are getting NPIP certified in a few weeks.

Love this breed, and for some reason I find it comical they stick together in a pack and no one gets more than 5 feet from the other ones, unlike my leghorns.

Quick question for everyone,

I have a 4 or five month old cockeral named Zues. But,even though he is young, when will start being more of a rooster and showing behaviours like they do?And,will he always stay sweet>

Hi hope all are good... what do you think of this fellow... ?
