Here is a happy story, kind of a miracle from what I understand about hatching as far as humidity and cold eggs go. I still am in awe when I look in the bator, I feel like it is a little miracle. Anyone that knows me when i have chicks hatching knows i cant go a few hours without feeling the chicks need help, no such thing as lock down in my bator. I know it is bad, but I hate to see them struggle and then I messed up BIG TIME with thinking i read on here someone had DRY HATCHED...read the post and see...

hi Wendy, what a time I picked to post a photo. sorry to hear about forest. he has given pleasure to so many through his children. frosty's feathers are curly and springy. he does have black skin and feathered feet. I got him from you at the first chichester swap. your description of him was brown partridge. I did not want brown but he was so nicely frizzled. was I ever surprised when he turned black. his mother is a blue silkie. remember when your blues would only breed with forest?
the polish frizzle I bought was white. it also turned out to be a roo. it changed to a champagne color and has a doo just like elvis. he is very handsome.

dont worry or feel badly about the timing, i loved it , seeing his babies, my daughter said she likes yours better, he has a real tail not like the round bump forest had! lol

i remembered i was surprised that so many hatched a partridge type look and color then changed.
am sorry about the 2 roo thing, my br x silkie from you is a roo too. been a yr

wendy, not at all upset about the roos. straight run means you might get roos. luck of the draw. both boys are beauties.

I'd wait... too many threads to follow. If people are looking for a schedule send them to the web site... maybe put the web site at the bottom of the post for the swap next weekend... just a thought.

Question and a suggestion:

Is New Hampshire laws the same as Maine as far as minimum age of 8 weeks for selling rabbits? I have some that will be about 7 weeks though (fully weaned) at the time of one of the swaps.

Also, a thread listing swap details without page after page of chit-chat would be really helpful for those of us that just need the basic info. (Chit chat is great, but not helpful in an information thread.)

Thanks

yes puppies kittens and rabbits 8 weeks old.
Vt, Ct, Ma also have the same requirements.
where ever there is a thread your going to get chit chat. no getting around it.
