sorry to hear that shay, we also had 2 silkie hens taking care of a bunch of polish, alls fine, then 1 day 4 are dead. and a silkie chick is dead tangled in her mothers butt fluff.

take the babies away and raise it yourself, if you need a few more day olds to keep it company i have some

Thanks you guys. I put them in with my others, they are pheasants that are about the same age just a day or 2 older and a couple os silkies that are 3 day older. they all look fine, only now when the mama squeksa these 4 cry out. I have the brodder out in the garage with them.

I found some eggs in my coop! Yippeeee! OK, so here is my delema...I checked he coop on Wed. and nothing, then just now I check and there are 3 eggs...do i put them right into the bator?? or let them sit in the bator room for 24 hours??? The other delema is this...Only one golden sea bright rooster with 4 hens, one is a black bantam cochin, one golden seabright, and the others are mutts! Id there a way to find out who the mom is....maybe by watching if she goes into the corner I pulled the eggs from??? I doubt it is the cochin cause wouldnt she sit on them??? I thought they were a broody breed?
