I was on a thread and people south of us were worried if the delicate d'uccle breed would make it when it hits freezing. made me wonder. glad to hear they will be ok. on the japanese, I read that a quarter of the chicks die in the eggs days before hatch.

Very cute, still looks like a seabrite with a tiny mohawk!
 
here is a photo of my japanese roo. he is a bit dirty because he has had a problem with a vent prolapse. all better now. due to this incident I have named him monkey butt!
