New Hampshire reds about 12 weeks

I would think production ride except for the black they have in them. But they don’t have as much black at least yet as I usually would see a New Hampshire. Are usually see them with black at the ends of their tails. I’m feeling a little better about the situation but I’m going to try to keep new homes in mind for that too just in case. I’m about to put these Ones in with my three-year-old Rhode Island Reds. I bet you they would show them who’s boss. But I noticed that the rooster is not real thrilled with the two of them. I don’t want him to hurt them I don’t think he would but I don’t want to chance that. I’ve never seen him hurt a hen. Right now I’ve got netting separating my adult ones in my young ones

I’m glad I happened up on this thread. I have a NHR that I ordered from Meyers Hatchery, supposed to be a pullet, but it fell in the 10% and is a roo. Boo hoo! Anyway, that sucker is M.E.A.N....to me! No light pecks from him and at times he all out BITES me. I thought NHRs were more docile than this, even the males.

Here are my production red pullets, they hatched some time in December, so they'll be 6 months pretty soon.

Girls.New Hampshire’s are a very bossy breed,and dominant.
I have had some pretty aggressive hens, and Nee Hampshire’s always set the bar. When fighting I had one hen get overly excited and extremely mad she would start having breathing fits, always had to Seperate a fight between her and another bird.

New Hampshire’s are a docile breed, sounds like he is going through teenage hormones. My rooster is very sweet.Allows holding and everything

Well I definitely have to keep them separated right now because yesterday morning it wasn’t just every once in a while it was like constant. Some of the other ones seem like they’re almost scared to be around them kind of like staying back in the corner. Until one of them came back and ran over and jumped on them. I’m just scared that it continues all day while I’m sleeping. Since I work nights I’m usually asleep till afternoon
