New Hampshire!!

Too much city at times, but when you grew up in a bigger city than Manch its all relative. I hope to get the flock outta here in the next couple years and get a bigger lot, for you guest it, more chickens...lol

Well...I grew up in a tiny northern town...so to me....Manchantonio is like huge and I go there only when I have to. Besides..I don't fit in well with all these little punk dudes walkin' around pretending they are gangsters or somethin'. I have a tendency to call them out and smack them around a bit. My daughters are mortified by this behavior.. oh well..as long as they still loves me. I keep on eye on my wife's chickens for her.....plant a huge garden.... and next year I am gonna raise a few turkeys and a couple more hogs.

I LOVE TRACTOR SUPPLY!!!!!!!

Yup! I hear yah. My wife has had to tell me to get back in the car a few times. Hard to remember I'm a Daddy now and can't go beating up punks anymore. I know it makes me sound like my grandparents but, 'young people have no respect these days'.

That's one reason I'm teaching my little ones to grow things in the garden and the coop. Maybe they will have more respect for themselves and the earth that way. Growing up we were one of the only houses in the city with corn and squash growing and it gave me a deep understanding that others missed.

I love your area though, spend some time up there. I was in the Agway in Tilton on Thursday. Got some potatos and garlic to try and grow. To raise pigs and maybe sheep would be some of the first things I did if I got a few acres up that way.

I have a pretty decent sized garden here...its about 30 by 50 I guess. Put my peas in about a month ago...they're doing real good. my tomatoes....peppers....cabbage...lettuce...celery....broccoli.....etc..are in starter pots and I will plant them around memorial day along with my sweet corn....cukes....squash...etc. Keeps me pretty busy during the growing season. Gotta do a little more stumping out behind my shop so I can build my new hog pen for next year. Not sure where I want to put my turkey house yet. might even raise some meat chickens too. Early next week I will go to a dairy farm over in Epsom and haul home a couple loads of aged cow manure in my dump truck to rototill into my garden.
