You’ll find a couple breeders. However they’ll be super expensive and supposedly the birds are total jerks.

I’d personally call G Bear Farms. His birds are huge and not assholes and may have come from the same stock I don’t know their origins. I do know folks are winning shows with his line and I hear plenty of folks talk about the utility of his birds.....

Thanks again. I really appreciate your input here. I've actually been thinking about putting some effort into breeding my own Delaware line. I mean if im going to make F1s to breed with why not F2s and so on. I may be hitting you up for some of that info you have so please dont lose it lol.

My 15 New Hampshire chicks arrived via USPS today around 3 pm. Picked them up at the post office within 30 minutes of their arrival. They sent one extra but one was quite decimated upon arrival. They had an inexpensive 2 day trip (only option offered on website) but no water or anything for the chicks to get hydrated in any way. The rest of the chicks look ok as of now but this little more yellow colored chick seems to be low on the pecking order. These chicks seem a little feisty and the dead chick may have been the victim of delivery stress due to lack of hydration.

I'm happy that my New Hampshire chicks are here though. Been on my list for years. I was thinking about ordering 100 of these chicks this spring (2021) if everything goes well.

I'm not set up in the ideal location to raise these chicks for the next few weeks. Was hoping to have solar power in my coop because the property is not currently tied to the grid. I've not even ordered the equipment yet. So once again in a race. Dont really want to tie in to that eternal electric bill. That's an idea for another thread though.

My New Hampshire chicks are looking lively this morning, day after arrival. What counts is that I have 15 happy chicks and I ordered 15 chicks. I'm happy too and so far I would order more of these birds. Thinking 100 spring 2021.

There are better heritage layers than NH. they can be good layers but not RR great, depending on the line but Typically NH are dual purpose leaning to the meat side rather than eggs unless you’re talking hatchery birds. The ones we are talking about here from Freedom Ranger hatchery are definitely not for eggs.

I really like these New Hampshires. They are growing amazingly fast. I believe they are about 10 weeks and they are large. They grew fast for heritage broilers. I'm quite impressed and will most definitely be getting more of these come spring. I will actually grow these for broilers.
