Aloha! First Batch of incubated chicks ever! Started hatching at 1am (of course) and 5 have hatched so far. I had 13, pips but the chicks have rolled many eggs out of position so I can't see many of the pips anymore. One egg pipped 21 hours ago and egg beak still out. Humidity has been high entire time. The slight pecking of the newer hatch-lings is disturbing, but they seem to get out of the way (no white lights are shining on them).
My question is if the first one hatches at 1 am and the others are still hatching for the next 24 hours when do you precisely open the incubator to relocate to brooder? It seems to me some will be 24 hours apart? MAHALO!
