New Hatches Due May 6th, 12th, 17th. Anyone else?

I have 11 silkie eggs from jimnjay on day 20. I've got 2 pips that I can see.

I've had such bad luck on shipped eggs so I'm really hoping for at least 5 or 6 out of this group. Good luck to all!

I just put my two remaining eggs in lockdown. Man, that temperature sure drops when you open it, doesn't it? I suspect it's cooler with the turner motor out of there too. I'm very slowly trying to bring it back up to temp.

Also, I may have a chicken problem. I bought another dozen eggs and then was eyeballing incubators on eBay. A guy's selling homemade ones and I bid on it. Oh well, guess my husband is done birthday shopping for me this year, now how to break the news to him?

Well, I don't have a single pip yet either. I set mine April 1st......... I would of thought I would have some sort of sign or even a pip by now but, nothing.

@Cluttered How many eggs did you set? Youre actual hatch isnt until Thursday right? I bet they'll start crackin through Wednesday.
Non of mine are even wiggling right now.

3 hatched last one black with silver on wing tip. 5 pipin' EE's and 2 pip silkies.
I don't think one of the EE's is going to make it, it is zipin' on the bottom.

I want to take it in to the bathroom so bad, I know don't open the lid.

Just joining in here. I have a broody who started sitting on the 1st. She a total of 6 eggs under her. Since I just got an LG forced air, I thought I'd give it a try... So on the 18th, I took 2 eggs from her (I also have 6 experimental eggs that got started on the 18th) and put them in. They been rocking alot and tonight we heard peeping! Its exciting! But no pips yet, from the bator, nor the broody...

What is everyones average humidity for hatching? Mine is at 59%, temps holding very steady at 99.6. I'm worried the humidity is way off, could I please get some averages? Just a note- I'm not asking what humidity you think is best, I'm just wanting some averages from all around.

Thanks- and I'm so excited!

Oh, my eggs are (total) 4 polishXmaran (mom) Jersey black Giant (dad) and 3 JBG's, but the pure JBG's are from very young pullets and the eggs are pretty small, theyre more of a test run for me so I can hone my incubating skills!

You know what it is? It's been almost eight years since I incubated eggs. I am just getting impatient. Also too, half my eggs sat too long. They arrived on a Monday and I waited until my other eggs arrived on Thursday before setting them all. I won't make that mistake again. I am just antsy with this one. I lost a lot of eggs and I do believe that it's due to the setting.

Also, a lot of these eggs had the porous markings on them when candled. Those eggs didn't develop or died.

On a good note, I have another incubator going due to hatch May 6 and I have other eggs arriving today so, I will not be without something to hatch!
