I candled again tonight, on my day 14. I have two good looking ones and the rest were quitters so I pitched them. I can still see one move and the other one is definitely growing, so I still have hope we'll have a couple to hatch.
The chicks that are hatching under my hens that 3 day before the ones in the incubator. This is the hens first hatch so I don't want to mess with them because I'm afraid they might kill them to keep them from me.
I just did lockdown 1 1/2 hours ago. All went well candled and took out 8 clear ones. I only candled 6 on day 11 and two of those were clear. All of my EE's were good. 4 of the shipped eggs were clear and four of my silkie eggs were clear. One silkie was 1/2 full so I kept it in there, if it hatches I will be shocked, it was quite a small egg 1/2 full. It was also shipped and kept it three more day after shipping to put with the rest.
I am officially in lock down now too. Although, I kinda started yesterday. I have been hearing pecking on shell...... I was shocked! Nothing has pipped yet but, it is very clear what the sound is........... I am kinda worried now. If it's pipped the airsack and is pecking the shell........... just when do I step in to help it out? I noticed it yesterday evening......it's now 24 hours. Not sure what to do. I haven't heard any chirping.

lI went into lockdown last night too. Have still 36 eggs out of original 40 that look good. I am starting to get excited like everyone else. I will spend part of today getting the brooder ready and just waiting to see what kind of a hatch I get. This is my first time to use an incubator but temps and humidity stayed pretty steady in the new 1588 so maybe it will be a good hatch. Good luck everyone. Like everyone else says I am sending you all good hatching vibes.
