Hello! So my silkie has been sitting on eggs that are not hers. Two of them are Oliver Egger x Black Andalusian cross and one is a Welsummer x Black Andalusian cross. The Welsummer chick hatched yesterday and the other two (OE) hatched today. I noticed that the two of them have little orange/red-ish spots on the top of their heads. Does this mean anything (I know sometimes you can gender at hatch by the color of certain breeds of chicks)? I only ask because it is in roughly the same spot on both. It's very cute and I hope that the feathers grow in that color. Maybe a stupid question but I figured I would ask.
^ You can see the spot on the head of the two in the front here
And here are pictures where you can see the spot pretty clearly.

Looks like we’ll have to find homes for those little chicks then. I refuse to have roosters in my coop.
