These are my only babies to hatch in this batch. 5 ee's, and 2 mutts.

Adorable little EE chicks. So cute!

This is the little misfit. I have NO clue how she happened. Her parents are a dominate white crested polish and either a buff orp, or a Rhode island red. I am completely bedazzled, and if anyone can help explain to me how that cross got her I would be forever greatful.


Sadly I didn't get any of those pure white Brahma/Polish crosses I wanted. Wah

My Polish must have super genes. Last hatch I got a pure white mutated fuzzy chick that have a Brahma build.

Now this month I get a totally black chick. Even it's beak and feet are black. The flash on the pictures makes it look like it has a brown tinge but in reality, this little girl is completely black.

I am so confuzed. I don't have ANY black chickens, and none with a black beak.

How did I get this from a buff orp or rir?
