New hen issues

Hiya

I just exchanged my roo for a hen.
Only problem, the old hen is biting my new hen. Is this normal. THe new hen is a month younger and much tinier. Is this norm. Help

You didnt give their ages, but i know that you cant put them together until they are the same size. The little one may end up really hurt or even dead.

You probably shouldn't put a large hen with a pullet younger than 16 weeks.

Shes not much tinier exactly. Only about 2-3 inches shorter(i measured). Is this "establishing a peck order"?

They are 5 and about 4.5 months of age

Yes seem like they are establishing their pecking order. The olger bird is showing the new bird that she is the alpha. Usually new birds are at the bottom of the pecking order.
