New hen, laying before move, not laying now?

How long, on average, does it take a hen to adjust to being moved from one home to another? This hen was said to be laying before I got her, but I've seen no eggs from her in the week I've had her.

She has, however, finally begun eating, drinking, & acting normal and not crouching prepared to FLEE at every second. I've even gotten her to eat bread from my fingers, which shows you how hungry she must have been, despite food in front of her 24/7.

It can take up to a month and could be longer this time of year since a lot of hens go through a molt.

I can relate .... I got a trio of Cuckoo Marans that were laying. They layed an egg the first day here (early morning arrival). They never layed another egg for a month! Then, like clockwork, every day they layed. Until 2 weeks ago, .... they are now molting! They don't lay when they molt.
