New hen not wanting to lay! Since I bought her :( !!

I just recently bought a new cochin hen and her old owner that had her told me she was laying almost everyday she had 13 eggs! It's been almost a week since I got her and I've yet to see a egg!! Could it be cuz their coop and run are almost in all shade all day long now!?? I mean it's not complete dark but most day it's shade !??? Any help !!?

It's perfectly normal for a hen moved to a new home to stop laying for a bit. Don't worry, she will start back up as soon as she is comfortable. Longest I've ever waited for a new hen to start laying again after bringing her home was two months. That's on the long side to wait. I'm sure yours will begin laying again before that! Don't worry too much about it because it's very normal. Some take longer than others to begin back laying. It just depends on the bird. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Thank you! I hope she will soon! I was begging to worry maybe something was wrong with her , I hope it's not a 2 month wait tho! That would be horrible lol
