New Hen on the block!

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! Do your 3 roosters live with the 7 hens? Does that work out for you? Were they raised together? I'm curious because I have a couple young cockerels right now that I've had to separate out for a while, but would love to have them in with the 10 girls at some point.

Absolutely not! One rooster free ranges. The bantam rooster and RIR rooster try to fight through the coop. My coop is actually like a duplex coop- so we had to install metal so they could not fight through the wire. The two bantam hens live together in a small coop, then one rooster each in the duplex coop and my Brahma rooster is the yard "dog". :D

I was thinking I would eventually have to have two flocks, one for each cockerel. Sounds like that's the case for you too.
