new hens are not laying

We recently added 2 Barred Rock hens to our 5 Rhode Island Reds. The BR's aren't laying yet and it's been a week. Do I just need to be patient?

Chickens hate change. Moving to a new environment/home generally causes them to stop laying for a period of time. They will resume/begin laying.

true when I got my pullet she stopped laying for almost two months! now she lays every day to every other day. they will resume laying when they become comfortable. it just depends on them. hopefully it will happen soon! don't worry its perfectly normal. above post is right. they hate change! best wishes to you!
