I had 5 hens. Two had to be culled because they were egg eaters. 3 days ago I purchased 3 easter eggers (the owner assured me they were laying.) Total now six. Since then I've had 2 eggs Friday (one from a new hen), none Saturday, and 1 today (sunday) Is such interruption normal and how long should it continue?

Any disruption can cause hens to stop laying for weeks. So, losing members of the flock, being moved to a new place etc...

I think its pretty common.

Ours stop laying when we have a big clean out of their shed, anytime new birds are introduced and if the weathers really bad.

Give them a bit of time to settle and I'm sure they'll start again (maybe the culled ones were they laying ones?).

Good'luck <3

So how long, generally, before yours return to normal

I think it varies grealy.

Sometimes it might take several weeks, sometimes maybe only a few things.
Its just a case of waiting I'm afraid, but they should all start laying again soon :D
