[My Very First 6 Chickens]

Not my main source for seeds, but it sure is pretty!

i got that exact catalog ordered in in winter and have been looking through it as it makes me happy through the long winters of 6b. I just put my order in and i spent a little too much $, but thats ok, I'll have the seeds and take proper care of them this time round! Storing seeds in green house no good. live and learn!

mine only like them if it seems special. like if i turn over a rock and some are under there

I've got a squash surprise also. When starting seeds, something with a big ol' squash leaf came up in one of the scallion pots. I can't hardly wait too see what I'll get! I'm sure it's a winter variety. Summer squash look "different".

Brother calls them fuzzy tailed rats. He calls chipmunks Target Practice - smaller, harder to hit, keeps his shot keen.

Red squirrels are my "target practice" but only because they force it. They can stay in the woods and the yard and under our feeders, but when they start climbing our house, we're overrun with them by that time, and we have to do something, or the little red rats will start chewing their way in.

I had to get rid of the red squirrels. A pair showed up one fall and the next fall them and their children kept packing my car engine and fenders with walnuts. This picture was new walnuts from the morning after I emptied out buckets and buckets full and moved the car. Several more buckets full. They also ate the washer lines and tore up the hood liner.

They aren't common around here.

Those squirrels and chipmunk are free toys for my cats. Lol
