New hens from May, still not laying in Nov.

My hens from March and April arent laying. Well maybe one is, but I have like 20. Join the club, we should make tshirts.
Haha hopefully our girls will pull through
I have 15 that hatched June 1st and two have been laying for a couple weeks and I think a third started today. 3/15 is good odds, right? :lau

with 15 I thought I would be drowning in eggs by now. Not so!
Lucky... My April birds REFUSE to lay

My May 24 chicks are HUGE...I think they are all stuffed with eggs and they are just being mean as I’ve cut off their frozen fig bars.

:eek:how dare you

I know. They LOVE frozen fig bars.

The other day I left the front door open. Little did I know they came in, walked through the kitchen, living room, dining room, down a flight of stars to the “family room”, and perched on the treadmill, waiting for them. In the meantime I was outside looking all over for them, calling, looking under the porch, in the horse stalls,...

Looks like you have a handsome fellow in with them waiting for figs.

Our EE layedstarted to lay around 23 weeks.. the 5th, final one laid at 25. Our Gold laced wyandotte still hasn't. she may not until next spring. She is the same age, 25.

Also, I think it was cat food sprinkled on top of the food that kick started them.

I have 3 different varieties of hens. Easter Eggers, Barred Rock, Wyaodette. None of them have started laying yet. We do live in Michigan and the weather has been colder, will they not lay until Spring?
It's not the cold, it's the shortening days.
You should see eggs soon after Winter Solstice when the day begin to lengthen again.
What all and how exactly are you feeding?
Do you free range?
Here some tips about how to tell.....
