New here and need help with incubator and quail eggs

Thanks everyone. The last two didn't hatch, they showed movement up to a day after the others hatched but then stopped. There was no pipping in either of them. I used a homeade incubator and had some trouble keeping the temp constant a few time and that probably had something to do with it. This was my first time incubating and I will start a new batch next week. I think I will try 2 dozen this time. I also got a new incubator to replace the homemade one. I hope it will go better than the first time. Any other tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats .. How are lilt guys and gals doing? I'm on day 7 of my first shot at incubating. I put in 21 eggs.. Will see..

Thanks! They're doing great. Only gals though. They're old enough that I can tell by the color of their feathers. As far as my new batch of eggs, I just checked and all are developing well. 5 were infertile out of 24. I hope these guys do better than the last. Incubating is much fun even if everything doesn't go as planned good luck with your 21. Have you candled them yet? Just curious.

Thank you. Yea it's been fun so far.lol I have not candled any and don't plan on it. I'm just going let it ride.haha mabey I will after this hatch.
