(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve been around chickens before (other family members/ friends)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 10 chicks coming in April.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter Eggers and we haven’t decided about the others.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Can’t wait to have the eggs as well as be able to butcher for the meat. Also, teaching our children the lessons about raising your own food sources.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m an avid hunter and hounds women.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We spend as much time outdoors and most of our free time is spent with our hounds.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was researching in preparation of our chicks coming and found this amazing site!
