Broody #3 Sweety . . . just went broody tonight as far as I can tell.
She was running around the yard earlier, but she could've been just stretching her legs when I saw her.

So are a lot of us ... but that doesn't stop us!

She is why I went gaga for chickens .

She was the first chick I hatched, piped and unzipped in less than 30 mins. She was alone for about an hour until the next chick arrived, but I held her and kept her company while we both waited anxiously for the next chick.

She also had a clutch of chicks last year, at 6 months old, and let me handle them, she grumbled a little, but never snapped at me.

Mine are done! Well, one is still in its egg, ext pip. I heard clicking noises when I checked it, so it's not stuck or anything, just decided to be late. Add one quitter and I have 20 chicks!

I always do a little "photo session" after hatch. Not only are they crazy cute at 1 day old, it also helps with identification. Lots of different colors in this bunch, I love it!

Thanks! I do love taking pictures of baby birds, some macro-photography to change up the mountain views and countless dog photos. Even better in summer, when I can go outside with real sunlight and real flowers!
