Little piece of advice: when you do introduce them and integrate the Lil guys in with the bigger ones, do it at night because for some reason it's been my experience that the big ones wake up and they're like "huh?" and that's about it

Hello, and welcome! Good luck with your new flock! I hope that you keep the chick's separate from the adult's out there for now as they are still young, and have to slowly be introduced to the adult's so that they won't try to kill them.

The chicks are actually going to get a separate coop. It was the compromise my husband and I came to because I wanted some chickens that were tame and that my kids could interact with, but my husband wanted chickens as livestock that we can eat. So we are having two different flocks in different coops.
