Hi,

I've been reading voraciously for the past couple of weeks so I guess it's about time I introduce myself.

I live in San Jose CA. I've been wanting chickens for years and my husband is finally on board so carpe diem. We're building a coop/run according to the plans at thegardencoop.com and looking for chicks. We're half French and would love to raise Black Copper Marans if we can find them, but that's probably a tall order so we'll see what we can do.

Thanks for this great board and all who post here, I've learned a lot already!
