Hey every one I've been raising chickens for two years. And I absolutely love it me and my partner own a 400 acre farm and really love. Although in not involved in the every day operation I decided to get involved by starting a small flock. I have had alot of failures when it comes to chickens but that's the only way we succeed.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Yes, sometimes getting started in chickens, there can be lots of issues and downfalls. But these only fuel your knowledge to helping you be a better steward to your flock. I had lots of health problems as well when I first got started and it was like "trial by fire"! LOL But wow, did I learn great amounts of knowledge and now feel I can better care for my birds.

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. That's quite a sizable farm you have. I suspect that we have all had our failures when it comes to raising chickens, but hopefully we are much wiser for the experiences. What kind of chickens do you have?

Currently we have 12 white leghorns and 6 Rhode island reds. 4 French guinne's. Really wanting to expand into unique breeds as well as meat birds. We are trying to become more self sufficient, which is a challenge lol.

You have some really good laying breeds. Good luck with your flock and your farm.
