New here from Pasadena, ca.

Hello everyone!

I'm new here from Pasadena and looking forward to getting started. My husband and I own a house with a 9000sqft lot. We have a veg garden and would really like having chicken hens. We've been discussing it for a few years, and are finally ready to get started. Any advice for us on how many, and where to buy chicks or hens in the area would be greatly appreciated.
